Additional Manufacturer Narrative
|
|
Siemens has completed an investigation of the reported event. The root cause was determined to be a hardware error. The investigation and review of the log files indicate that the emergency stop button of the table control module (tcm) was defective and motor movements were no longer possible.A corresponding error message to notify the service department was issued on the system. This is underlined by the corresponding entries in the log file and the assessment of the technician on site. The tcm was replaced by siemens service and the system functioned again as specified.A possible systematic error that would lead to corrective action of the installed base could not be determined by the investigation. After detailed investigation, the incident is not classified as a reportable event as neither serious injury, death nor an unexpected, prolonged hospitalization of the patient or any other person occurred or could be expected.
