Event Description
It was reported that the procedure was to treat a heavily calcified distal right coronary artery (drca). The 2.5x15mm nc trek balloon dilatation catheter (bdc) was crossing the lesion; however, the bdc was pushed at an angle causing the hypotube to separate.Resistance with anatomy was noted during advancement of the bdc.The separated portion was outside of the anatomy; therefore, the separated piece was simply withdrawn from the anatomy.Another 2.5x15mm nc trek was used to successfully complete the procedure. There were no adverse patient effects and no clinically significant delay. No additional information was provided.
