Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider regarding a patient who was receiving baclofen (1250 mcg/ml at 60 mcg/day) via an implantable pump for intractable spasticity. It was reported that the healthcare provider (hcp) wanted to know if they could program any lower than what they currently had the patient on.They were trying to wean the patient down even more so they could replace the pump that had been eroding through the patient's skin.According to the patient's mom, this might have started since implant and gotten worse over the past month.Technical services reviewed the lowest simple continuous rate and the hcp understood. The hcp confirmed they plan on replacing the pump soon.
