Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare professional (hcp) via a clinical study regarding a patient receiving dilaudid 1 mg at 0.09993 mg/day and bupivacaine 30 mg at 2.99789 mg/day via an implantable pump.It was reported on 2021-sep-19 the patient reported two weeks earlier their pump site became red and warm.The patient was in ohio, as they were there for the summer and returning to arizona in the fall.While they were there, their pump was explanted/not replaced on (b)(6) 2021 secondary to infection.The outcome of the event resolved without sequelae on (b)(6) 2021.The clinical diagnosis was pump site infection.The etiology of the event indicated the relationship of the event to the device or therapy was related and indicated the relationship of the event to the implant procedure was not related.The incisional site/device tract was pump pocket.The event date was (b)(6) 2021.
