Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 95% stenosed target lesion was located in the moderately tortuous and moderately calcified superficial femoral artery.A 6.0mmx220mmx150cm (4f) sterling balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during the first inflation at 14 atmospheres for 10 seconds, the balloon ruptured.The device was removed and the procedure was completed with a different device.No patient complications nor injuries were reported and the patient condition was good.
