It was reported that there was a suspected incident where the valve's setting implanted in patient might have been accidentally adjusted by a 3rd party product.Renol care, a company that produces wrist band, commonly used in wards, the wrist band uses a magnetic tool (similar to the valve adjustment magnet tool) to lock/unlock the band.Usually the ward nurses carry the magnet in their pocket and we suspect that the magnet might have a strong magnetic strength, therefore, resulting in the accidental adjustment of the patient valve settings when placed near (within a certain radius) to the patient's head.It was stated the patient was fine, and there was no significant impact to the patient as the issue was detected early.

Additional information received reported that the patient setting was noticed to have been adjusted unknowingly. The nurse clinician suspected that it was the magnet from the wrist band as the main cause for the issue as it was a common accessory which ward nursesmcarry along with them.
