Event or Problem Description
It was reported by the healthcare professional that the remaining longevity of the cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) decreased much faster than the actual time that had elapsed. The patient reported the device to be defective and said it was going to fail in two months which was the estimated remaining battery longevity.Non-specific reprogramming was performed which increased estimated remaining longevity and the crt-d remains in use.It was also reported that the right ventricular (rv) lead exhibited high pacing thresholds.Pacing outputs and pulse width were increased. It was noted that left ventricular (lv) lead impedance had fallen.Pacing outputs on the right atrial (ra) lead had increased and some undersensing was noted. The leads remain in use.No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.

Additional Manufacturer Narrative
Product event summary: the lead was not returned for analysis, however, performance data collected from the device was received and analyzed.Analysis of the device memory indicated the impedance of the left ventricular pacing lead was below the expected lower range. If information is provided in the future, a supplemental report will be issued.
