Event Description
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a hernia.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced mesh migration, infection, adhesions, abscess, and draining wound.Post-operative patient treatment included bowel resection and revision surgery.

The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a ventral hernia.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced mesh migration, infection, adhesions, abscess, fluid collection, seroma, hematoma, infiltration of subcutaneous fat, abdominal pain, bleeding, erythematous, diarrhea, panniculitis, cellulitis, pain, nausea, recurrence, purulent material, fascia thin/weak, and open draining wound.Post-operative patient treatment included bowel resection, admission to hospital, antibiotics, picc line inserted, wound vac, drainage of abscess, lysis of adhesions, peritoneal lavage, primary repair of abdominal wall, removal of sutures, abscess cavities removed, defects repaired with sutures, removal of mesh, and revision surgery.
