Event Description
It was reported that the customer experienced a blood glucose (bg) level of 515 mg/dl, vomiting blood, swelling of the left arm, decreased urination, and a high ketone level identified as dangerous by healthcare provider.The cause of the elevated bg level was unknown.The customer went to the emergency room and was subsequently hospitalized in the intensive care unit.Bg was treated with intravenous insulin and saline.At the time of the report to tandem technical support, customer was still hospitalized, however, customer indicated no permanent damage was sustained.
