Additional Manufacturer Narrative
Please note correction to h6 results code. The received pictures were reviewed. The breakage of the drill bit can be confirmed, the drill bit is broken at the shaft between the end of the cutting edges and the mark 10 of the scale. The fragment of the drill bit is stuck in the also visible drill guide. The dark discolorations at both devices indicate that there was heat generated, most likely by friction between the drill bit and the guide. The affected devices were not returned for evaluation, therefore no further investigation is possible.More detailed information about the complaint event as well as the affected device must be available in order to determine the root cause of the complaint event.A review of the device history was not possible because the lot number was not communicated. No corrective actions are required at this time.A review of the labeling did not indicate any abnormalities. No indications of material, manufacturing or design related problems were found during the investigation. If the device is returned or if any additional information is provided, the investigation will be reassessed.
