Event Description

Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system being used during an unknown procedure. It was reported that after the site had completed a touch-n-go registration, navigation seemed accurate. They then prepared for the procedure, but after starting incisions it was determined that the navigation was no longer accurate. The site removed the fiducials and did not have easy access to the face. They then considered attempting registration on a bone model.Technical services (ts) walked through some troubleshooting tips, but the surgeon moved on without the use of navigation.
