Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 99% stenosed target lesion was located in the moderately tortuous and severely calcified superficial femoral artery.A 5.0 x 40, 135cm mustang balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during the first inflation at 20 atmospheres for 5 seconds, the balloon ruptured.The device was removed from the patient and the procedure was completed with a different device.No patient complications nor injuries were reported and the patient condition was good.
