It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 90% stenosed target lesion was located in the moderately tortuous and severely calcified superficial femoral artery to popliteal artery (sfa-pop).A 5.0mmx100mmx150cm (4f) sterling balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during the first inflation at 12 atmospheres for 30 seconds, the entire balloon ruptured vertically.The device was removed and the procedure was completed with a different device.There were no patient complications reported and the patient was in good condition after the procedure.
