Event Description
|
Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) regarding a patient receiving baclofen (2000 mcg/ml at 569.6 mcg/day) via an implanted pump.The indication for pump use was intractable spasticity.The hcp reported that the patient reported hearing a motor stall alarm overnight.The pump logs were check and there was one stall that lasted approximately 17 minutes and then it recovered.Per the hcp, the patient had a lanyard with keys on it and it did have a magnet on it.The patient had fallen asleep on the couch when he heard the alarm, and the hcp thought it was possible that the lanyard was very close to the pump.

|
Additional information was received that the cause of the motor stall was not determined.The pump was interrogated showing a functioning pump on 2022-05-05.The pump was currently still implanted and functional.
