Event Description
|
Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) regarding a patient receiving baclofen via an implanted pump.The indication for pump use was stroke and intractable spasticity.It was reported that the patient heard the pump alarm and upon reading the pump, it was showing a motor stall.No mri had been done.The logs showed multiple stalls and recoveries going back to (b)(6) 2022.The most recent stall was today with no motor stall recovery.The hcp was transferred to the national answering service (nas) to contact a local company representative.

Event Description
|
Additional information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) via a company representative who reported that the pump was still currently stalled.The patient was taking oral baclofen with a current dose of 246 mcg/day.The plan was to replace the pump in the near future.The code to permanently shut down the pump was requested and provided during the call, and the pump was successfully shut down.
