Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 100% stenosed target lesion was located in the moderately tortuous and severely calcified superficial femoral artery.A 5.0mmx150mmx150cm (4f) sterling balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during the fifth inflation at 14 atmospheres for 30 seconds, the balloon ruptured vertically at the tip.The device was removed and the procedure was completed with a different device.No patient complications were reported and the patient was in good condition post procedure.
