Event Description
The patient's attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a ventral hernia.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced pain, enterocutaneous fistula, fistula, discharge, mesh exposed, adhesions, infection, necrosis, defective device, impairment, and mental pain.Post-operative patient treatment included revision surgery, partial removal of mesh, hospitalization, small bowel resection, exploratory laparotomy, wound debridement, and lysis of adhesions.
