For the investigation the provided information and the logfile were analysed. On the reported date of event it was found that in total three power failures were recognized by the pba vgc cpu during the same case. Each time the user power cycled the device and the case was continued. The device reacted as specified for this problem and initiated an autonomous shutdown while changing mode to man/spont (safety mode) and generating the appropriate ventilator fail alarm. The service engineer on site found that a faulty pba vgc power was the root caused for the issue and replaced it, no further problems were reported. The number of similar cases, related to the same root cause, is within the expected range of the respective risk assessment and thus accepted.
