Event Description
|
It was reported by the patient that the cardiac resynchronization therapy pacemaker (crt-p) activity response feature was not responsive enough and that their heart rate will not increase even on a steep hill.The patient also noted that their heart rate will occasionally drop to 50 during the day a increase to 120 at night.The crt-p remains in use. no further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.

It was further reported that the patient was seen in office for a device check.The patient reported issue of inappropriate rate response could not be confirmed.The reported bradycardia and tachycardia symptoms were verbally confirmed by the patient.The crt-d was noted as functioning as programmed but minor adjustments were made to increase effectiveness of rate response algorithm, adl (activity daily living) rate was changed, and exertion response slopes were increased.
