Event or Problem Description
Additional information was received. It was reported that the medtronic representative (rep) believes that this was user error. He said the site was leaving the system on while transporting it between rooms/cases/storage.He tested the uninterruptible power supply (ups) and when he unplugged it, the message stating "ac power was lost" did pop up as intended. The system remained on while he had it unplugged, indicating that it was working normally. He plugged the system back in to get the battery back up to full.A different rep found the system with a red battery light despite being plugged into the wall. This indicated that the original call did not give an accurate description of the issue. It was also noted that the ground prong on the power cable was bent. The cord did not sit flush into the wall and it was loose.
