|
Information was received from a manufacturer representative regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for unknown indications for use.The reason for call was to report that pt has been experiencing a sharp burning pain at ins implant site.Caller stated the pt said the implant site is warm.Caller stated they advised pt to turn stimulation off until they were able to meet with them today.After meeting with pt, caller confirmed impendences and connectivity were fine.Caller confirmed this happens at random times while stimulation is both on and off.Caller did not know when the issue began.Caller inquired about ins warranty.Caller stated they will continue to work with pt and pt's hcp to resolve the issue.The caller was not with the patient.

Rep reported that patient was having burning and tingling sensation at ins pocket site, even with stimulation on and off.Patient had ins replacement and had seen patient in post op.Caller reports patient is not complaining of burning or tingling sensation.Issue resolved.

It was reported that cause of burning pain was the battery.Patient reported battery will be replaced but not yet scheduled.
