|
Medtronic received a report that while the patient was undergoing planned repair of a pre-existing dural fistula the physician noted residual aneurysm.They decided to retreat the patient by implanting an additional pipeline.Both pipelines had been successfully implanted with wall apposition and complete neck coverage achieved.The patient's raymond and roy (r&r) aneurysm occlusion status at the both end of the original treatment and retreatment was class 1.The patient's nihss and mrs scores after retreatment were 0.The event was noted as recovering/resolving.There were no device deficiencies.The patient did not experience neurological deficits.The event did not result in hospitalization, but the patient was admitted to the icu from (b)(6) 2022 to (b)(6)2022.The site assessed the event as probably related to the disease under study, caused by the procedure, and not related to the device.The patient had undergone treatment for a saccular, sidewall aneurysm located in the c6 segment of the left internal carotid artery, the max diameter was 4mm, the dome height was 3.3mm, the dome width was 3mm, and the neck size was 4mm.The parent artery diameter was 3.4mm distal to the aneurysm and 3.7mm proximal.The access vessel was the right femoral.
