According to the reporter, on post operative bilateral robotic inguinal hernia repair, the patient came back as he was still having symptoms of feeling a bulge.The surgeon took a look laparoscopically and noticed that the mesh was damaged.There was a small hole in the center of the mesh.The surgeon did not think this was causing the symptoms but also noticed that there was a slight indentation far medially that the mesh did not cover and the patient recurred.The surgeon had to re-repaired it via open procedure and the fixation system that was used to close the peritoneum was suturing.
