A getinge field service engineer (fse) was dispatched to evaluate the iabp unit and was able to reproduce the reported issue.The fse found error codes 58 pneumcntr system failure -shutdown, 124 pneumcntr prolonged shuttle prs system failure and 37 fill fail-shuttle purge timeout in the log.Following a problem with blood flow, the fse noticed that there was blood in the circuit so the fse changed the helium reservoir assy, drive manifold assembly, pneumatic module assy and mufflers that were impacted by the blood to resolve the issue.The fse completed all safety, functionality, and calibration checks and all tests passed to factory specifications.
