Event or Problem Description
Complainant alleged that during functional testing, the device failed self-test for pacer function.Complainant did not indicate that there was any patient involvement in the reported malfunction.

The device was returned to zoll medical corporation for evaluation.The customer's report was observed and attributed to the faulty processor/bridge/pace (pbp) board.The pbp board was replaced to resolve the report.The device was recertified and returned to the customer.Analysis for reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
