Model Number 6937A-58
Medical Device Problem Code High impedance (1291)
Health Effect - Clinical Code No Clinical Signs, Symptoms or Conditions (4582)
Date of Event 10/01/2022
Type of Reportable Event Malfunction
Event or Problem Description
It was reported that the right ventricular (rv) lead triggered an alert for high undefined out of range (oor) defibrillation impedance, however it was questioned if the observed product performance was a result of the patient's underlying condition at the time or a true lead performance issue. It was also noted that the lead was implanted by suturing it to the patient's epicardium rather thanimplanting the lead trans-venously which may also contribute to the observed lead impedances.Review of right atrial (ra) lead sensing parameters showed small measured p-waves as well as ambient noise on the electrograms (egm) which was suspected to be due to digitization of the signal. Both leads remain in use.No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
