Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) regarding a patient who was receiving unknown morphine drug (3 mg/ml at.15 mg/day) via an implantable pump for spinal pain indications. It was reported that the patient had an mri at 10:00 am this morning. The hcp stated that it was now almost 3:00 pm and the pump had still not recovered. The hcp stated that they had been checking the logs every 15 minutes but had not seen any recovery.Technical services reviewed that they should keep checking every 15 minutes and if it gets to a point where they can no longer wait they can send the patient off with oral medication and have them come back the following day to check the pump.No symptoms/patient complications were reported.
