Event Description
|
It was reported that the implantable cardioverter defibrillator (icd) interrogated high/undefined bipolar pacing impedance and a zero ohm superior vena cava (svc) coil impedance after the device was implanted.Troubleshooting yielded that there was a setscrew/connection issue and the right ventricular (rv) lead was not fully inserted into the device header. The setscrew was partially obstructing header bore causing inadequate lead connection. The patient was brought back into the electrophysiology (ep) lab and the device was revised with the lead firmly connected. The device remains in use.The patient is enrolled in a clinical study. No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
