Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 100% stenosed target lesion was located in the moderately tortuous and severely calcified superficial femoral artery.A 3.0mmx60mmx135cm (4f) sterling balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during the first inflation at 10 atmospheres for 15 seconds, the balloon ruptured.The device was removed without any problem and the procedure was completed successfully with a different device.There were no patient complications nor injuries reported and patient condition was good.
