Event or Problem Description
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for unknown indications for use.It was reported that the patient said they need their enterra device replaced (due to normal battery depletion).Patient reported that when their interstim system was first implanted, it was interacting with their enterra device and the enterra device started shocking them.Patient stated their managing hcp adjusted stim on their enterra device to turn it down a little bit and patient no longer felt shocking.Patient said typically an enterra device lasts them a year, but because it was able to be decreased it lasted them 6 months longer. In (b)(6) of 2022, the enterra hcp determined the enterra device was depleted.Agent emailed medtronic rep to contact patient with physician listings for replacement gastric stimulator.
