Event or Problem Description
It was reported from canada that while cutting the skull flap a craniotomy surgical procedure, it was discovered the burr broke and a piece of the burr got stuck in the bone, which was later retrieved.It was reported that there was a five minute delay to the surgical procedure and a spare device was available to complete the surgery.There were no reports of injuries, medical intervention or prolonged hospitalization.All available information has been disclosed.If additional information should become available, a supplemental medwatch report will be submitted accordingly.
