Event or Problem Description
It was reported from canada that during an unspecified surgical procedure, it was discovered that the cutter device broke.A second, spare device was opened, and that device broke as well.A third, spare device was used to complete the procedure.The broken pieces of the devices were retrieved.It was reported that was a five minute delay to the surgical procedure as a spare device was available to complete the surgery.There was patient involvement reported.There were no reports of injuries, medical intervention or prolonged hospitalization.All available information has been disclosed.If additional information should become available, a supplemental medwatch report will be submitted accordingly.
