Valiant navion stent grafts were implanted in the endovascular treatment of a unknown size taa.It was reported the patient presented emergently to emergency room approximately 2 years and 11 months post index procedure with complaints of chest pains.A computed tomography performed revealed a large mid descending thoracic aortic aneurysm. The physician noted that a type 1b or type iii endoleak may be occurring involving the piece placed most distal. This stent graft was confirmed as the (b)(4).It was said this 3rd distal piece had been placed just proximal to the celiac artery during the index procedure.Intervention was performed the following day, 3 valiant captivia's were implanted vamf2828c150t (v30592263) was implanted most proximal followed by vamf2828c150tu (v30592262) & vamf2828c100tu (v30592478).In addition to landing at the celiac, 5 endoanchors were placed in most distal aspect of that graft.A type iii endoleak was ruled out during the intervention.Per the physician the cause of the event is that the stent graft appeared to have shortened or moved somehow, exposing 3 cm of aorta and leading to an endoleak, with sac filling. No additional clinical sequalae were provided and the patient is fine.
