Event Description
|
It was reported that the patient arrived in clinic today with both batteries depleted.Patient has return of mild tremor in right hand.Patient stated they have not charged in possibly 4-6 months.Patient has not been seen in clinic by healthcare provider (hcp) for over 2 years.Interrogation was attempted with the clinician programmer as well as the patient programmer.Charging was attempted but not successful on either battery.Hcp gave patient the option to have batteries replaced but patient is able to manage with the slight tremor and does not wish to undergo surgery to replace her batteries.

Additional information received from the manufacturer¿s representative (rep), which was confirmed with the healthcare provider (hcp), who reported the patient stopped charging their device because it became too much of a burden; the patient was able to charge though, but chose not to of their own choosing.

Additional information received from the manufacturer¿s representative (rep) reported the patient came to clinic with both of their batteries depleted.The patient wanted to try and jumpstart them.The rep began to jumpstart the devices, but in the end the physician decided even if the devices were able to be restarted, the patient would be unable to keep up with recharging.According to the patient and their caregiver the patient hadn¿t charged in over two years.At the end of the appointment the patient decided to not have surgery to replace the batteries.

Additional information received from the manufacturer¿s representative (rep) reported the patient had both depleted rechargeable batteries replaced on april 24th.The batteries were replaced with primary cell devices.
