Event Description
|
It was reported that the right atrial (ra) lead triggered an alert for high atrial bipolar lead impedance.Device interrogation showed intermittent high frequency noise on the ra lead with variable impedances and capture thresholds that were consistent with an early ra lead fracture. The noise was easily inducible with pocket manipulation.Implantable cardioverter defibrillator (icd) pocket exploration and repositioning of the ra lead in the device header was performed.During the procedure, the physician disconnected the ra lead from the device header, and extensive testing of the ra lead with an analyzer did not demonstrate any noise. It was determined that the intermittent noise that had been noted was due to make break connection between the atrial lead and the device header. The atrial lead was repositioned in the device header. The patient is a participant in a clinical study.
