Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 99% stenosed target lesion was located in the mildly tortuous and severely calcified superficial femoral artery.A 6.0 x 200, 135cm mustang balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during the first inflation at 13 atmospheres for 20 seconds, the balloon ruptured.The device was removed without any problem and the procedure was completed successfully with another of the same device.There were no patient complications nor injuries reported and patient condition was good.
