|
Medtronic received information that following the implant of this transcatheter bioprosthetic valve, hemostasis was achieved with a non-medtronic percutaneous closure device.Subsequently, dissection occurred at the puncture site; blocked access site was observed.A peripheral vascular thromboembolism was reported.Percutaneous peripheral angioplasty was performed.The patient was reported to be recovering.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.

Event Description
|
Additional information was received that during the implant of the valve, the access site for the delivery catheter system (dcs) used was the left side and the dissection was observed on the left side.Per the physician, the dissection was caused by the hemostatic device and possibly the non-medtronic percutaneous closure device.Per the physician, the delivery catheter system (dcs) did not cause or contribute to the dissection.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.
