Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 100% stenosed target lesion was located in the moderately tortuous and severely calcified superficial femoral artery.A 5.0mmx220mmx150cm (4f) sterling balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during third inflation at 14 atmospheres for 30 seconds, the balloon ruptured vertically at the center of the balloon.The device was removed without any problem, and the procedure was completed with another of same device.There were no patient complications nor injuries reported, and the patient condition was good post-procedure.
