Event Description
It was reported that the cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) exhibited external electromagnetic interference oversensing and noise on both atrial and ventricular channels.  a full device interrogation and troubleshooting was performed but was unable to recreate any noise or oversensing.  the patient denies having surgery, using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation unites or any type of outside electrical stimuli knowingly entering the body.  the patient reported that they live in an apartment so it¿s possible that emi could be coming from another unit.  the device remains in use.  no patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
