Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 100% stenosed target lesion was located in the severely tortuous and severely calcified common iliac artery.A 7.0mmx60mmx135cm (4f) sterling balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during the first inflation at 8 atmospheres for 20 seconds, the balloon ruptured.The device was completely removed and the procedure was completed with another of the same device.There were no patient complications reported and the patient was in good condition post-procedure.
