|
Information was received from multiple sources (healthcare provider, clinical study) regarding a patient who was receiving unknown drug via an implantable pump for unknown indications for use.It was reported that the patient had a severe headache with pressure and pain while sitting and standing.The pain was relieved while laying down.A blood patch was ordered.

Additional information received from the healthcare provider via a clinical study indicated that the patient was worried their midline incision site was infected.They complained that the site looked red and was tender to touch.Upon physical examination the healthcare provider discussed it is likely a cerbrospinal fluid leak (csf) leak and ordered pump site aspiration.
