Event or Problem Description
According to the reporter, twenty days after an open routine ovariohysterectomy veterinary procedure, where the device was used for ligatures in the abdomen, there was a severe suture reaction.The uterine stump was necrotic from the bladder.Additional surgeries were performed to remove the necrotic part; the right ureter was also dissected.A tertiary procedure was required to reattach the ureter and further reduce necrotic uterine and, left ovarian stumps.This resulted in an extended hospital stay and a specialist referral center.
