It was reported that the patient had impedances tested and there was a short on electrode pair 0/1 that displayed a value of "low".The caller did not specific which of the two implantable neurostimulators (inss) the impedance issue was associated with. The caller indicated that a manufacturer's representative was originally aware of this issue in dec 2022 and thought that they reported the issue by contacting tech service. The caller asked how to determine the specific impedance value of the short. The caller was not with the patient.Technical services reviewed impedance information and sent the caller a message with the report number. No symptoms were reported.

Additional information received from the manufacturer¿s representative (rep), which was confirmed with the healthcare provider (hcp), reported the neurologist discovered the short circuit on (b)(6) 2022.The cause of the short circuit was unknown, and after running impedances multiple times the short didn¿t resolve. The physician was curious of getting a specific value for the short, but since the short wasn¿t an active contact for that particular patient¿s settings, it wasn¿t much of a concern for the physician.
