Event or Problem Description
It was reported that the right ventricular (rv) lead had low pacing impedance for both the current and previous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (icd).Additionally, it was noted that upon the explant of the previous icd there was a heavily calcified encapsulation that was removed, it was suspected that the calcification may have been a contributing factor to the low pacing impedance. The lead remains in use and will continue to be monitored. No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
