Event or Problem Description

It was reported to boston scientific corporation that an obtryx ii system - curved device was used during a transobturator sling procedure performed on (b)(6) 2023, for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence.During the procedure, the physician experienced difficulty advancing the device. She kept hitting something that would not allow her to advance the device. She tried to troubleshoot in several different ways, ultimately believing that the patient's anatomy would not allow for the curved needle to get around the patient's pubic bone. The procedure was cancelled, and the patient has been referred to a different physician (a urogynecologist specialist).
