Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 99% stenosed target lesion was located in a shunt in the moderately tortuous and severely calcified vessel in the upper left arm.A 7.0mmx40mmx80cm (4f) sterling balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during the third inflation at 10 atmospheres for 30 seconds, the balloon ruptured.The device was removed, and the procedure was completed with another of the same device.There were no patient injuries reported and the patient condition was good.
