Event or Problem Description
Complainant alleged that during functional testing, the device prompted an "hv cap idle test failure" message.Complainant indicated that there was no patient involvement in the reported malfunction.

The device was returned to zoll medical corporation for evaluation.The customer's report was duplicated and attributed to a faulty integrated circuit on main board.The main board was replaced to resolve the report.The device was recertified and returned to the customer.Analysis for reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
