Event or Problem Description
Medtronic received information regarding a navigation device being used during a cranial biopsy procedure. It was reported that 3 biopsy kits were unable to engage into the patient's bone.Non-medtronic screws were then used as an attempt to engage the bone, however this was unsuccessful, as they were too short in length. The user then chose to resolve the issue by using a twist drill to get the screws to engage. There was no impact on patient outcome.
