Zoll medical corporation has not received the device for evaluation and this complaint is still under investigation.
Event or Problem Description
Complainant alleged that during functional testing, the device would not power up.Complainant indicated that there was no patient involvement in the reported malfunction.

The device was returned to zoll medical corporation for evaluation.The customer's report was duplicated and attributed to water ingress in the device which compromised the investigation.The device will be scrapped at zoll medical corporation.A replacement device was sent to the customer.Analysis of reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
