Complainant alleged that while attempting to treat a patient (age & gender unknown), the device powered on without display.Complainant indicated that the clinician obtained another device to continue treating the patient.Complainant indicated that there was no adverse effect to the patient due to the reported malfunction.

The device was returned to zoll medical canada; the customer's report was duplicated and the lcd display was replaced to resolve the report.The device was recertified and returned to the customer.Analysis for reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
